When the duo of Vernon Dalhart and Carson Robison broke up Carson found immediately a great replacement in Frank Luther. Many of the 21 tracks were written by Carson who is known for excellent lyrics and beautiful melodies. The original 78 RPMs of this CD were cut from 1928 to about 1930 and they sound far better now on the CD than in the days when the records were new. If you go for the roots of commercial country music or if you want to go deeper into the history of country music then this album is a must.
