Bobby has recorded over 350 and written over 1600 songs, some even with Vernon Dalhart. It's a cryin' shame and a mystery why nobody ever before has released an album on him. Perhaps the reason is that he recorded for about a dozen different labels, so no label had enough masters for an album. Now you will find a combination of songs from various brands. Bobby played in movies with Roy Rogers and others and was on stage with Gene Autry and many more. He wrote "Sunny Side Of The Mountain", "Patanio..." and many more songs that were hits for other artists. He never made the charts although he started his career in 1924 and has always been an excellent artist, but listen yourself. Bobby really belongs to the more important figures of country music history! |
