All of these items were recorded for Decca from 1935 to 1941 with Bob & Joe Shelton <guitar & mandolin and vocal>. There is also Gene Sullivan of Wiley & Gene fame doing harmony vocalizing on several tracks. The brothers started for Victor Records in 1933 and cut their last recordings for King Records in 1947. They also recorded as "The Sunshine Boys" for Okeh and other labels. They recorded more than 160 sides during their career. That's something hardly any artist could compare with. These boys are nearly forgotten these days although so many great musicians were on the schedule for their Decca recording sessions : Cliff Bruner <fiddle>, Bob Dunn <steel guitar>, Slim Harbert <upright bass>, Felton Harkness <fiddle> and several more.
