Homer (Bill) Callahan passed away September 12, 2002 while Walter (Joe) already died in 1971. That's why this album is dedicated to the memory of the famed brother duo and their original material recorded from 1934 to 1951.

The team wasn't quite successful as the Blue Sky Boys or the Delmore Brothers since they stopped recording in 1951, but their material is in big demand and searched by collectors. This CD contains bascially duets, but also solo vocals of Homer and Walter and four tracks that include sister Alma that were released as The Callahan Family. The musical backing is usually guitar, string bass and mandolin (provided by Paul Buskirk and Roy "Shorty" Hobbs). You can expect a variety in style since the Callahan's style had changed after world war II. A treasure for fans!
