Betty Cody was born in Canada, but made her career in the USA. However, she was as popular in Canada as she was around Wheeling, West Virgina where she starred with her husband Hal Lone Pine and the great guitarist Ray Couture (also known as Abner Doolittle). Part of these recordings were made in the USA with Chet Atkins on electric lead guitar. Several tracks are vocally assisted by Hal Lone Pine and Ray Couture. A refreshing Hillbilly CD with steel guitar, fiddle and the usual basic instruments. All are RCA recordings by one of the most popular female country voices of the early 50s.
