The Buchanans was a close harmony duo who missed the boat to fame. They were not worse compared to Johnnie & Jack, The Farmer Boys or The Blue Sky Boys. They are both talented and play guitar and mandolin, sometimes other musicians were added and so they are heard on this CD several times with steel, fiddle, piano or a clarinet backing. The fiddle and guitar picking is superb and has sometimes a hot jazzy feeling. Highly recommended !
