CD 9022 Moon Mullican-I Left My Heart In Texas = F ALL I NEED IS YOU/(Don't Let Temptation) TURN YOU 'ROUND/THE LONESOME HEARTED BLUES/IT'S A SIN TO LOVE YOU LIKE I DO/JOLE BLON IS GONE, AMEN/BROKEN DREAMS/I LEFT MY HEART IN TEXAS/MONA LISA/YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE A BABY TO CRY/NO STRANGER/I'M HANGING UP ALL MY WORK CLOTHES/A MAIDEN'S PRAYER/WORRIES ON MY MIND/WITHOUT A PORT OF LOVE/WAIT A MINUTE/I'M GONNA MOVE HOME BYE AND BYE/WHEN A SOLDIER KNOCKS AND FINDS NOBODY HOME/NEW PRETTY BLONDE (New Jole Blon)/THE LAMP OF LIFE IS BURNING LOW/I'LL SAIL MY SHIP ALONE (# 1). All items were taken from King singles recorded from 1946 to ca. 1954. Only a few of them have been previously released on LPs, but with added echo and/or an awful women choir. Here are the originals that were made when the late Moon was at his peak. Some of the musicians are probably Ralph Lamp, Cotton Thompson and Benny Benny Martin on fiddle and Asa Peveto on steel guitar. Great stuff for fans of the country honky tonk singer and piano player King. |
