This CD presents pure country/hillbilly music of the later pop guitarist Les Paul. The content was recorded sometime in the 1940s for the MacGregor transcription company. These items were also simultaneously released in Canada, which was very seldom at that time, but that might proove the quality of the material. Les or Rhubarb Red has a good voice and with the trio singing it has a certain spell. The guitar playing reminds me a little of Karl Farr. Les plays nearly all styles of music on his guitar and he plays several other instruments as well.
