Since western music is gaining more and more popularity again this CD album is certainly a fitting tribute to the silver screen western era. After the release of 5 LP albums and numerous singles, this is Jon's first CD. Although recorded from the late 60s to mid 70s, the presented items are now available for the first time. Whether it is Jon with just with his guitar or with The Willow Crossing Rangers, you will always be persuaded that Jon's feeling for the range is genuine. 4 of his self-penned songs in this album is another proof, and his contribution as a country music journalist and well-known oldtime C & W collector is priceless.
