RLP 1009 Dewey Groom And His Texas Longhorns HEARTACHES FOR SALE/DON'T EVER CHANGE/SOMETIMES IF I'M LUCKY/THIS IS OUR WEDDING DAY/WITHIN YOUR CROWD/DON'T SQUEEZE MY SHARMON/PIGGY BANK/JUST CALL ME ON THE PHONE (# 1)/GIVE ME YOUR HEART (For My Birthday)/SHE MIGHT CALL/BUTANE BLUES/THAT'S ALL I WANT OUT OF LIFE. Dewey cut his first popular record in 1948 and toured the USA until 1958 when be became co-owner of the famous "Longhorn Ballroom". He signed a lot of great artists to the "...Ballroom" and so he helped many artists to get popular including Janet McBride. The LP presents 12 of Dewey Groom's best single sides, previously released on the Longhorn label from 1960 to 1968 and is a good example of the typical Texas Honky Tonk Country Sound.
