Even one who has never been to Yukon and Alaska can feel the beauty of the land in the songs written and performed by Al Oster (1959 to 1967). His voice is terrific and the sound unique. Although he uses neither a steel guitar nor a fiddle but guitars, drums, bass and accordion, there's enough feeling in his  Northland Ballads. The 20 full length songs are mainly from his hard to find 3 Klondike albums. The remainder from the Klondike albums can be found on LP 109.
