Since Dolph Hewitt never cut an album many of you might not be familiar with the former producer and "King Of The WLS Barn Dance". 10 of the songs were recorded around 1950 from which you can expect a great voice and a style that the late George Morgan and Eddy Arnold were known for at that time with Don White on steel guitar, Ray Klein on accordion and Red Blanchard on bass, collectively known as the WLS Sage Riders. 4 songs were recorded in the late 1950's with different personnel + 1 song was cut in Nashville in the mid 60's. |
