Willie started recording for DECCA in 1936 with his brother Norman and Earl. Their band was called "The Virginia Rounders". They even cut some records with Ray Whitley. The brothers had their own record label (WREN) and owned the largest dance floor in East of the USA, "The Fernwood Farms", in the 1950's. Willie wrote one song that was later made popular by Jim Reeves: "I'm Beginning To Forget You". Willie not too long ago discovered lots of unreleased masters from the 1950's and a result of this find is this LP which is a pleasure to listen to. It's a typical honky tonk style of 1955 like Webb Pierce, Faron Young etc. used to record back then. A fiddle and a steelguitar is included!
