SHORTY'S BOOGIE (Inst.)/TEXAS POLKA/LOADED PISTOLS AND LOADED DICE/A GAY RANCHERO/BOOGIE WOOGIE COWBOY/I'M A ROOTIN' TOOTIN' SHOOTIN' MAN FROM TEXAS/ 'NEATH THE OLD APPLE TREE/LA CUCARACHA (Inst.)/TELLING MY TROUBLES TO MY OLD GUITAR/SING ON, BROTHER, SING/THEY TOOK THE STARS OUT OF HEAVEN/SONG OF THE BANDIT/BABY, NOW I'VE GOT THE GOODS ON YOU/CHUCK WAGON BLUES/HOLD ON LITTLE DOGIES/THE EYES OF TEXAS (Inst. featuring Chet Atkins on electric guitar).

One of RadiOzark's most popular group of the late 1940's was Shorty (Thompson), Sue (Thompson) and Sally (Sue's sister). With Zed Tennis on fiddle, Sue on accordion, Doc Martin on steelguitar and Speedy Haworth/Chet Atkins on electric guitar they had an excellent group that could sing and play everything from Hillbilly to Western songs. They had three wonderful trio combinations of Shorty, Sue, Sally, Speedy and Zed but even Shorty can be heard on this LP as a solo singer. Chet Atkins can be heard in his earliest stage when he sounded more like Merle Travis than himself...but already a great guitarist. This album is another milestone for all of you who are seriously dedicated to the important facts of country music history.
