Kidd Baker was one of the most successful Canadian country artists in the 1950s. Most of his single records were released on the Gavotte label but the company went out of business in the mid 50's, so there has never been a chance to compile an album of his greatest hits. This album and CATTLE LP 95 is an anthology of his most beautiful songs with mainly steelguitar, fiddle and accordion accompaniment. Each fan of early Canadian Country Music can't miss these two albums. You'd surely miss them if you'd know them! To give you an idea what Kidd sounds like please click here: |
